Hey all my Buffalo brides, past and present

I am working on a survey with wedding vendors around Western New York trying to get a better understanding of the bridal demographic in Buffalo. If you wouldn’t mind, please take two minutes to complete our survey. It is completely anonymous. Please share with other present and past brides as well.

Take the survey here.

You ladies are the best! Thank you.

New to the shop, Save-the-Date Magnets! We are so excited to announce these new additions. We’ve been wanting to offer save-the-date magnets for quite some time. With that in mind, it’s with much enthusiasm that we say, “They’re finally here!”

We offer three different magnet styles: photo booth magnets, classic magnets or mini magnets. All are custom designed and include envelopes. So send us your engagement pictures or lets come up with a unique design. The sky’s the limit with these magnets.

Now we ask you, “What are you waiting for?” Save-the-Dates should be sent 4-6 months before your wedding! Call us today to get started.

PEARstyle Editorial Shoot Spring 2013 – Wedding Invitations

By now I’m sure you’ve heard us speak about PEAR Planning – WNY’s Premier Event Planning Service. Owner/Principal Planner, Shannon Lach has taken Buffalo by storm. She’s a true visionary, planning events for Brides and Vendors alike. We were honored to have our invitations photographed in this seasons PEARstyle Shoot!

Photographed by Rich Paprocki Photography, at the Hotel Lafayette this seasons PEARstyle shoot was stunning. As a vendor we were asked to create an invitation fit for a wedding in a pre-designed style board. We are so thankful to have been a part of the shoot! Thanks Pear Planning! Spotlight on Buffalo’s Best Vendors – Shutter Dream Studio

The moment we saw Shutter Dream Studio’s videography we were hooked! We can’t speak highly enough about them! If you are interested in wedding videography they are the BEST. Take a look:

In their own words:
“Since its inception in 2010, Shutter Dream Studio has strived to provide couples with an innovative approach to wedding films. We’re creating a cinematic experience for our clients by providing films that are truly captivating from the minute it starts. After unsuccessfully finding a high quality filmmaker for our own wedding, we were determined to bringing the ‘Hollywood’ style to Western New York. We have been very blessed to work with some amazing couples who continue to support us. Due to the wonderful support of Western New York Community and beyond, we’re happy to announce we’ve also expanded our business to provide newborn cinematography!”

Assembling Your Invitations – Custom Buffalo Invitations

This Month’s How To: Invitation Assembly

Assembling your wedding invitations can be tricky. Does your invite go on top? Do you hide the rsvp envelope? The list goes on. Here’s some wedding invitation assembly examples to put your mind at ease:

1. Layer rsvp wrapped in envelope on top of invitation.

2. Invitation, reception card, rsvp wrapped in envelope, accommodations card.

3. Glue your mat to your pocketfold. Then your invitation to your mat. Assemble your additional cards from tallest to smallest, directions, r.s.v.p. wrapped in envelope, reception and accommodations cards.

1.   2.

3.

{wedding monogram etiquette}

Wedding Monogram Etiquette 101:

Many couples are interested in wedding monograms these days. Why wouldn’t they be. They’re eloquent. There are many ways to use wedding monograms–on your invitations, r.s.v.p.’s, programs, menus, thank you’s and even on your envelopes. There is however some etiquette to be aware of. As an engaged couple you should never use the married monogram until after the wedding ceremony.

Prior to the ceremony the proper monogram is written as:
• bride’s first initial, grooms first initial (in that order)
- use this monogram on your invitation, r.s.v.p., program and your envelopes

At the reception and on post ceremony stationery the proper wedding monogram is written as:
• bride’s first initial, the surname of the couple and the groom’s first initial (in that order)
- use this monogram on your menu and thank you’s

Now you know. ♥ RLC

{spotlight on Buffalo’s best vendors}

As nice as it is to meet new brides it can be equally as exciting to meet wonderful Buffalo vendors! I am honored to introduce DJB Entertainment.

“DJB Entertainment has been providing entertainment for over 25 years. We take the extra care to make sure that your day is one to remember. To help make that happen, we coordinate with all your vendors (halls, photographer, etc). The last thing you want to do after planning your special day is have to run it. Let us take the worries out of wondering where and when different timed events happen. See you on the dance floor.” – Brian
